GSEA support students entrepreneurs who require much-needed mentorship, recognition and connections to take their businesses to the next level of success
Our vision is to empower student entrepreneurs to become the world’s most influential change makers. We’re on a mission to give student entrepreneurs the opportunity to accelerate their success, challenge the status quo, connect to an instrumental peer group and make the greatest impact possible in their community.
Undergraduate and graduate college/universities students who own and operate a business for at least six months are eligible to compete.
Qualifying competitions are held in cities and countries worldwide.
Competitions take place throughout the yearwith the GSEA global Finals typically held in April.
GSEA is proud to invest in student entrepreneurs in 50+ unique countries. Successful competitors will have the opportunity to connect with peers from around the world at the Global Finals held every year to celebrate their entrepreneurial drive and accomplishments.
You must be an undergraduate or graduate college/university student with a company operating for at least 6 months with at least US$500 in generated revenue or US$1,000 in investment.
Whether an undergraduate and postgraduate, if you are still enrolled at the point of applying and meet all other requirements, you are eligible to apply to the competition.
Are you eligible to compete?
EO chapters will host live competitions at the local and national level to identify the top student competitors in their locations.
Following success at your local competition, you will either advance to your country’s national competition or progress directly to the Global Finals. If you advance directly to the Global Finals, you will be your country’s sole representative. Countries with a national competition will advance multiple students to the Global Finals.
Compete against the best student entrepreneurs around the world and connect with a life changing group of peers as you compete in the Start it Up mini-series.
We are proud to announce that Osvaldo G. Ríos, founder of La Wagon, has won the local EO GSEA Competition and will represent Puerto Rico at the global quarterfinals in Rio de Janeiro in 2025. This initiative, led by our board members Pedro Nieves and Azalea García, exemplifies EO’s commitment to nurturing young talent and giving back to the Puerto Rican community.
The competition, held in collaboration with Grupo Guayacán, provided mentorship and training to five student entrepreneurs over the past six months. Additionally, Gloridie Lebrón López was recognized for her socially impactful project, Comfybum, which creates pet beds from recycled tires.
